30km - ronde des tortues meslinoises

Well, it's been a long time since I posted something here.
My internet was down at home for like 4 weeks, so that's another reason why I didn't really post.
The 30 km race I ran this sunday (ronde des tortues meslinoises) was the latest and longest distance run before my marathon.
Oh yeah, since I didn't really say which marathon I'm gonna run, it's gonna be the "Marathon de Beloeil". This is on the 8th of October, in 3 weeks.
As I want to finish the marathon under 4 hours, I took as target time for my 30km at least under 2:50 (but aiming more at a 2:45). This came down to running a pace between 5:30 min/km and 5:40 min/km.
Race day was great: sunny but no more then 16C. About 300 participants, allthough I'm not sure of the exact number since no results are posted online yet, but that's due somewhere this week.
Anyway, start shot is given, and it takes around 22 seconds for me to reach the starting line.

splits:
------
1 -> 5:28 (5:28)
2 -> 10:27 (4:59)
3 -> 15:34 (5:06)
4 -> 20:37 (5:03)
5 -> 25:38 (5:01)
6 -> 30:56 (5:17)
7 -> 36:14 (5:17)
8 -> 41:32 (5:18)
9 -> 46:45 (5:13)
10 -> 51:57 (5:12)
11 -> 57:37 (5:40)
12 -> 1:02:39 (5:01)
13 -> 1:07:59 (5:20)
14 -> 1:13:06 (5:06)
15 -> 1:18:16 (5:10)
16 ->
17 -> 1:28:27 (10:10)
18 -> 1:33:34 (5:07)
19 -> 1:38:32 (4:57)
20 -> 1:43:24 (4:52)
21 -> 1:48:19 (4:54)
22 -> 1:53:23 (5:05)
23 -> 1:58:26 (5:02)
24 -> 2:04:00 (5:33)
25 -> 2:09:15 (5:15)
26 -> 2:14:45 (5:29)
27 -> 2:20:12 (5:26)
28 -> 2:25:23 (5:11)
29 -> 2:30:28 (5:04)
30 -> 2:35:42 (5:14)

A finish time of 2:35:42 (chip time probably 20 seconds less), I was very happy with that.
I got too confident after 16 km, since I was still feeling pretty fresh, so I pushed it a little too hard with several split times under 5 minutes, which made me struggle to keep my pace the last 3 km.
I got a lot of confidence after this race for the marathon, I think my goal pace will be around 5:30. I just need to make sure that I keep that pace and don't start to become too positive and go all out after 30 km to crash at 36 km.
My legs aren't too tight after the race although the exterior of my right ankle is still pretty tight.
I'm gonna start running again tomorrow, so better keep it gentle and see how it reacts. When I start walking it goes away after awhile, so it will be a matter of warming it up.
